Luke teaches us that while God’s promises are fulfilled in Jesus, he focuses on applying Jesus’ teachings to the daily experiences of ordinary people living under the Roman empire. Thus, this Gospel includes some of Jesus’ most familiar parables, stories, and conversations. They may be overly familiar. Let’s listen with new ears and let them challenge us. You are invited to come and experience this introduction to the Gospel of Luke, and then apply it to your daily living. You may be surprised by how it can challenge you in your Lenten journey!
